AUSTIN 1999
I do not remember what this con was called,
but it was put on by the good folks at
FatCat productions, and it featured one of the best lineups I've ever seen
at a small-scale convention. How's this for a guest list:

Tim Bradstreet,
Gary Gianni,
and Mike Kunkel
(before HEROBEAR had really hit it big). Yowza! I spent the whole show set
up across the aisle from Bernie Wrightson, one of my true heroes in the
comics field, trying to suck up one one-millionth of his talent by
osmosis.
