DALLAS COMIC AND
TOY FEST #4 June 2002
|

|
| SHADES OF BLUE artist CAL SLAYTON
makes his first DCTF appearance, accompanied by his adorable
girlfriend Heather, and won a prime positionright next to yours
truly. |
|

|
| DC mainstay (and all-around Swell Guy)
MICHEAL LARK grins for the camera;Mike was not only promoting his
recent Elseworlds hardback BATMAN: NINE LIVES, but he also had a
batch of original art that made everybody in the room drool.
Standing in the background is legendary good-girl artist ADAM
HUGHES, and local legend RICHARD DOMINGUEZ. Sorry for the camera
flare -- I had to put the film through the X-ray machine at the
airport. |
|

|
| Five-time Hugo Award winning artist
BRAD FOSTER also made his first appearance at the DCTF. A legend in
the field of self-publishing, Brad is known for his distinctive
style and outrageous subject matter. I am thrilled to announce that
Brad has also agreed to do a Bulldog Malone pin-up for the upcoming
CC trade paperback! |
|
|

|
| Local artist NICK DERINGTON strikes a
quizzical pose as he waits for the next over-excited kid to scream
past his table. Nick's first self-published effort, PAPER MUSEUM,
debuted just a few days after this show. |
|

|
| Of course, no gives two hoots what
Nick is doing once his unbelievably gorgeous girlfriend TANIA PEREZ
show up! At this year's DCTF, Tania came decked out in the classic
STAR TREK mini-skirt and accoutrements. |
